First Day of School

We were all so excited last night as we went to bed! Wade told me he didn't think he'd be able to sleep because he was so excited. This is a change. He's usually the one that's nervous and saying he doesn't want to go. I think the difference this year is that his teacher was his teacher for 3rd grade math last year. He LOVES her. She is fabulous! I can't believe he's already in 3rd grade. He just seems so big to me. He's going to be as tall or taller than me within the next couple of years, I'm afraid!
Lafe is going to Pre-K at Children's University this year. He will be going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He has been talking about it all summer long!!! This morning he was so excited. While we were walking into the school I was carrying Joseph and holding Lafe's hand. I am SO glad I heard it when Lafe WHISPERED "It's my first day of school!" I looked down and he had the biggest grin on his face. It was so sweet. He walked right into the classroom and didn't look back. I asked for a kiss and his teacher Mrs. Patton said "Say goodbye to Mommy." But, he just walked right in and started playing. No goodbyes, no tears, nothing!!! He is so sweet. The most exciting thing for him was his new Lightning McQueen backpack with a lunchbox that attaches to it! How cool is that??!!

My favorite part of the first day of school is picking them up and hearing all of the fun stories!!! I CAN'T WAIT! Just 2 more hours.

Hopefully they are better storytellers than Noah. I can't get much out of him!

Lafe is so cute! I saw you at the gym yesterday. You were busy being trained, though! Every time I talk to Joseph in the kid's klub he looks at me like I'm some crazy person he doesn't know. I think the girls who work in there are starting to wonder if I really know him! haha.

How sweet! I absolutely LOVED school when I was little. When I was in Kindergarten I cried when I found out I couldn't go to school over Thanksgiving. I hope both your boys have great years!
