JB- Christmas

Can you tell we are at home being lazy today? We've made 3 posts in one day. I just wanted to get these on here before I start back to work TOMORROW!

We had a wonderful Christmas. We enjoyed being with family and sharing some quality time together just the 5 of us. That's the best part for me!!!

Christmas at Oma'sMom had the kids all make these pretzel, hershey's kiss, and pecan turtles. They had lots of fun with her doing this little project. And all of the adults had lots of fun eating them. Thanks kids!!! This is Bennett (Dava Lynn's second oldest son.)
Daniel (Kari Ann's youngest)
Lafe (We all know who he belongs to)
Clark (Dava Lynn's oldest)
These last two pictures are of us singing Christmas Carols. That's one thing I love about my family: we always sing together. It's so fun!!! The three boys in the first picture are L-R Clark, Wade, and Samuel. They came into the kitchen and just randomly started singing carols to us. This lead to us moving to the living room where we all sat by the tree and sang.

I forgot to mention that my mom had sent us a cute little poem inviting us to celebrate at her house on the 22nd for a brunch. We had a wonderful meal around 10:00am and we wore our pajamas all day. Well, some of us longer than others. After we ate brunch, we sat around and opened gifts. The kids do a gift exchange and then the adults. We draw names (we would be crazy not to with 15 grandkids and one more on the way). It's always fun to watch the kids give their gift to their cousins. It does get chaotic, but it's worth it. We opened gifts one at a time. None of this everyone opening gifts at the same time. I like to watch each individual open their gift because then you get to see the thought that is put into it. I think it's fun!

Looks like fun! So many little ones...reminds me of me and my cousins when we were little. I also agree with you on opening up presents one at a time. Seeing what other people got is almost as fun as opening your own...almost :)
