Doctor's Visit

I'll start with the fun stuff! Joseph went for his One Year check up this morning. He is still a giant!!! He weighed 28lb 7oz (not even on the % chart) and was 31 1/4 inches long (90%). So, he is huge but as adorable as ever. He was flirting with the nurse so much that she said "I'm going to have to get someone else to give you your shots. You're too sweet."

On another note. We took Lafe to the appointment with us because of some concerns we have been having lately. Yesterday David called and spoke with the doctor himself about our concerns and told him that we wanted to have him tested for diabetes. The doctor was equally concerned (which made us panic a little). We have been wondering about Lafe for a while now, but played it off as us both being nurses and knowing too much! He gave a urine sample today and they determined that it is NOT diabetes. He did, however, have some concerning signs on his test that showed his body is not concentrating his urine properly. When he was born, he had a two vessel cord (it is normal to have 3 vessels). This is associated with kidney development as they happen at the same time. He has never had a renal ultrasound to check everything out so we will be doing that after Christmas and hopefully before the New Year and before school starts back up.
