At our family reunion last weekend, my sister, Dava Lynn, found a couple of HUGE green caterpillars. I have never seen one this big. I am regretting that we did not get a picture of them. Wade brought one home in a SOLO cup and John David, my nephew, took the other one. We woke up on Sunday morning and Wade went to go check on the caterpillar. I was in my bathroom getting ready for church when Wade came running into our room yelling "The caterpillar formed a chrysalis." At first, I didn't believe him. Finally, he and David brought the chrysalis that had formed on a stick and some leaves that Wade had put in the cup into the bathroom so that I could see it. I was amazed. Come to find out, John David's caterpillar also formed a chrysalis that night. We decided today to move the stick to a big, empty tank so that the butterfly would have a safe place when it came out. They need to be in a safe place for a few hours after they come out so that their wet wings can dry. Anyway, when I picked it up, I noticed that it was moving. I kind of freaked out, okay, I really freaked out!!! I am expecting to see a butterfly or moth sometime soon. I will be sure and post pictures as soon as the miraculous transformation happens. I would recommend that all children get to experience this amazing transformation at some point in their lifetime. I keep thanking God for his PERFECT timing and that Wade and Lafe are getting to watch this miracle as it happens. If you do not know much about the transformation that a caterpillar goes through during this process, I would highly recommend that you google it or look it up somewhere. It is fabulous!

That is so fun. Earlier this year Noah found a monsterous caterpillar that formed a chrysallis for us. It stayed in there for almost a month, and we all thought it was dead. We were so surprised though when it came out as a luna moth. Apparently those are pretty rare around here. I'm pretty sure Mike and I were more excited than the kids!
Hi Juli! It's good to hear from you! Yes, Charles' dad is the golf coach at Martin, Coach Nobles. And, he did teach math also, but he doesn't anymore. Charles' mom is also a math teacher at Martin. And, to make the world a little smaller, Charles and Jana Kay graduated in the same class and knew each other from the time they were at Boles. Crazy!
Man Tag! You have been tagged...check out my blog! I love you sister!
