Wade has found a love for a ministry we have at our church. We take communion to shut-ins who are unable to come to the church building for worship. We are always looking for more people to serve in this ministry. The woman at church who is heading this up sent out an e-mail last week to some members at our church. This next paragraph is an exerpt from that e-mail. Again, David and I are so proud of him!!!
I would like to tell you about a very special little nine year old boy at Pleasant Ridge that has been tremendously moved and is seriously dedicated to the Lord's Supper Ministry. Wade Ledbetter is fired up about going to our members to take them Communion. He reads scripture and discusses the Lords word at each visit. He loves talking to these members about the word of our Lord along with his parents or his grandparents. He has even gone along with one of the college students (Katie Kitson) on her volunteering visits. Isn't that GREAT! He came to me last night wanting to know if there were any open visitation needs. Again, if we will get out of the way and let Him, God will take over and help us with our serving.

Got your comment about NYC. We didn't "plan" what we were going to do until the day before we left, but it all seemed to fall into place. I can email you with more details if you would like, but I have like six email addresses for you guys and don't know which one is actually active. Hope all is well.
