I neglected to mention on here that 4 weeks ago Joseph was moved to a big boy bed. It was NOT by my choice. He was perfectly fine sleeping in his crib. He never climbed out and never attempted to. However, one day at nap time David leaned over the rail to kiss Joseph goodnight and the rail broke. The crib was given to us when we were pregnant with Wade and it had already been through at least 3 kids. So, we're not talking about a brand new crib, but I was still so sad. I wanted to keep that crib and give it to someone in need or have it for my grandkids to use. I'm over it now, but that was not a happy day for me.
Now to the real story: Joseph discovered last week that he can make his new Lightning McQueen and Mater bed very easily. He was so excited when he did it the first time. (I will post a picture later of the bed.) He makes it most days. We have never told him to, he just started on his own. Let me remind you that this is my TWO year old.
He made his bed this morning, but I had to wake him up from his nap at the last minute today to pick Lafe up from school. So, we didn't have time for that. When we got home I just simply said "Oh, Joseph we didn't make your bed after your nap." He didn't really respond. He just kept playing with Wade and Lafe. I was picking some things up in his room so I went ahead and made his bed.
The boys are spending the night with David's parents tonight due to our work schedules. On our way to Burleson Joseph said (in the sweetest yet desperate voice) "Oh NO! Go back! I didn't make my bed!" It was so sweet. I told him that I made it for him. He said "You made it? Thank you!" *big sigh*
He's so sweet! He also LOVES to clean and pick up. I hope this lasts for a long time. I think as long as we make it fun and encourage it, it just might become a habit!

How cute! Hope y'all are doing well!
You are more than welcome to bring him over to our house to make the bed when he's done at yours. Ours gets made when we have company...yep...that's it!
On a side note, I try to comment on every blog since you don't post as often as others, BUT, I read it on google reader at school, and we have a strict web policy. While I can see other blogs to comment, yours does not show up with anything other than the family picture ezcept in reader, and I can't comment through that program. I will try to get better once it's summer...you can thank Suzanne, and of course our web sense policy, for my lack of comments though...she introduced me to google reader.
That is soooooo sweet! I wish he could teach that to my kids!
