To Cut or Not To Cut?

That is the question around our house. I have cut Joseph's hair several times, but have never been really satisfied with my work. We LOVE his curls so much. David really doesn't want to cut them off, but I'm wondering if we should give him his first short cut. If not, we'll just get it cut to where it's a little more manageable. Who would have ever thought that I would be worrying about what to do with one of my kid's hair??? After all, I have 3 boys. I know that it is popular for boys to have long hair, but on older boys and men I think it's gross and looks dirty. This will not last forever, but I don't know that we're ready to cut off the curls completely. In fact, when I mentioned it to the boys they both started whining and saying they liked his curls and did NOT want us to cut his hair. And, when Joseph is crying or upset, all you have to say is "Do you want to go do your hair?" He cheers up and runs to the bathroom. I've even noticed him playing with it some when he is sleepy. HELP!!! Tell me what you think???
