A few of you have made comments about camp. I want to answer your questions.
1. Camp is not necessarily through Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. The 3 directors are members at PRCC and most of our trained staff are from PRCC. My mother, David (my husband) and Sharron Berry are the directors. We have kids from many different congregations from all over that attend.
2. Camp this year will be at Brookhaven Retreat in Hawkins, Tx. It is a really nice facility.
3. Meg, Connor IS old enough to go. If you're thinking about sending him to camp, you should definitely do it this year. Actually, in years past, we have had more K-2 boys than the older ones. I know it seems really young, but part of our camp session is teaching independence. David is one of the "little boy" counselors. They work really hard with them all week teaching them how to take care of themselves and their things as well as how to worship. They do this knowing that each and every boy is different and can do different things for himself. It's really a great lesson and I promise he'll survive!!!!!
Readers: even if your children are not old enough or cannot attend, please think of anyone you know who might benefit from this.
One more exciting thing: Lance and Ashley (Lambert) Hall will be joining us this year on staff. They will also be bringing a group of kids from their church. We are SOOOOO EXCITED to have them coming with us!!!!!

C won't start kindergarten until the fall...so I don't think he's old enough this year. Is he? I am glad to hear that david is one of the little guy counselors-that makes me feel so much better! And Ashley and fam are going to be great.
This makes me want to go to camp BAD!
Sorry, Meg. I was trying to make him a year older than he is. I was thinking he started KG this year!!! I can't even keep up with how old my own kids are, sorry. Well, I hope this year goes well enough that we can have camp again next year so he can enjoy it.

i heart summer camp! i just read every last detail about you guys session and will be thinking about y'all during those days. what a wonderful opportunity for little guys to start learning more about independence and more about God!
Why did you guys move from Iron Springs? Oh, and do you have an email address for Ashley or Lance? I wanted to talk to them about the agency they adopted through.
JB, I think it's wonderful that the little boys are learning independence! I loved going to camp and hope that my kids get to have the same experience someday.
I hope and pray that this session goes well for y'all so C can go next year! Like I said before, I want to go to camp so badly now! I feel a camp blog post coming on soon...must find pictures!
