This was the final score at the end of Wade's first basketball game yesterday. He had two games. One at 2:00pm and one at 5:00pm. Guess which team had 28 points. Yep, Wade's team. Guess how many of those points Wade scored. That's right... 14!!!!!!! He was on fire that game. It's really funny because there are only 2 boys on his team that really know how to play basketball. Wade and a boy named Jared. Jared is REALLY good. He is the youngest of three boys and he is always playing with his older brothers. His mother says they don't give him a break just because he's 8 years old, so he has to be tough. He also plays on a select team (which we are considering for Wade). All of the other teams in our league know to look out for Jared. The funny thing is, they go into the games trying to figure out ways to stop Jared, and when Wade starts playing they're like "Whoa, where did that kid come from?" So, their strategy has to change a little!!! Anyway, it has been so much fun to watch him this year and we REALLY enjoyed yesterday's game!!! Just thought I would brag for a moment. Hope you all don't mind. I'm really proud of Wade. He loves the game and he is showing it with how dedicated he is to watching and playing and learning all he can about the sport. I love that he has found something he can be so passionate about at the wee age of 8 years.
