Diarrhea

***WARNING: this is a post about diarrhea. Do not read any further if you are not interested. BUT, I have to tell you it's pretty funny!! ****

This morning I was laying in bed while David was getting ready for work. Wade was already awake and in the living room playing a game. Joseph was starting to talk in his crib, but I wasn't jumping up to get him. Then, Lafe came into our room and said "Daddy. I just tooted in my pull-up and a little bit of water came out." OH GREAT! David and I were trying not to laugh. David said "So, you had some diarrhea. That's okay. We'll get it cleaned up."

After getting cleaned up Lafe went off to play. A little later, after David had left for work, Lafe came into the room and said "It happened again. I had a little poop barf." WHAT?!?!?! We do not say barf in the first place, so where in the world did he come up with poop barf??? He never ceases to amaze me with the words he chooses.

I then explained to him that if he feels like he needs to toot again, he needs to run to the bathroom and sit on the potty. The next time he had diarrhea I noticed that he had run into the bathroom. I, of course, went to check on him and he said "Yeah!!! I was faster than my diarrhea!!!"

Okay, so it really is sad that he has diarrhea. And yes, it continues. Even after some anti-diarrheal medicine. Poor baby!!! Just thought I'd share. I was talking the other day to my cousin Dana about how so many funny and interesting things happen in our household every day, but it's hard to write about them because they never seem quite as funny once they are written down. Thus, the reason you don't get very many stories from me. BUT, I felt like this one was fun and I wanted to share. I know you're all so appreciative.
