Lessons Learned

No. Not the Carrie Underwood song.

Our hotel room had a whirlpool tub. I decided on Wednesday morning to take a hot bath. I made the comment that I wish we had some bubble bath. David decided to play MacGyver and turn the hotel shampoo into bubble bath. Instead of putting one little drop in to test it out, he decided to put four big blobs of it in. The more and more the jets ran on the tub, the more bubbles formed. I was trying desperately to get water on top of them in order to reduce the number of bubbles rising to the edge of the tub, but I was very unsuccessful. I eventually had to turn the jets off and drain the water because I was afraid the bubbles were about to run over the edge. It was very funny, but word to the wise, do not use the hotel shampoo for bubble bath!!!!!

Our kids love when Derek does this-they call them super bubbles, and they literally go above the rim of the tub, up to their necks. I need to take a picture of it. I bet the jets contributed to your super bubble bath!

That is the best visual I have had all day! :) JB trying frantically to get water ontop of the bubbles and DW just sittin' back, watching his masterpiece! hehe

That really sounds like something that my kids would do while I was in the other room.

That's so sweet! And yet so funny!! I didn't get many bubble bathes as a kid. My parents probably didn't even want to imagine what I might have done. I think I would have tried to eat the bubbles or something like that.

I'm so glad you guys got to get away and enjoy each other by yourselves! Just don't put dish soap in the dishwasher and I think you will be fine with the bubbles!!! Love and miss you tons!

That's great advise, but it might have been fun to overflow the bathroom with bubbles!
