Mother's Day

I've been reading all of these posts on other's blogs about their wonderful Mother's Days. At first, I started to feel a little depressed because my Mother's Day was not anything like those of everyone else's. BUT, I'm realizing that maybe my Mother's Day was the best of all.

First of all, David had to work on Mother's Day so the boys gave me my gift and cards the night before. They were so sweet and thoughtful! I love that Wade is old enough to actually write in the cards and give one to me just from him and the other boys. That's really special! They gave me a book that I have been wanting to read, but have been too busy with school stuff to read it!

Then, Saturday evening Lafe started running a fever of 100 - 101. Remember he just had surgery a week ago. So, I decided that we would not be going to church or to lunch with my mother for Mother's Day. Kind of sad! When I woke up on Sunday morning, I found Wade dressed and ready to go to church. When I told him that we were not going to church, he was very disappointed so I called my parents and asked them if he could go with them. They came and got him and he went to church and lunch with them.

My Mother's Day lunch consisted of a delivered pizza from Pizza Hut and Lafe and I had a picnic lunch on the living room floor together.

Probably doesn't sound very fun or relaxing for a Mother's Day, but I have decided that there is NO better way to celebrate Mother's Day than by just simply being a mother!

I love my boys sooooooooo much!!!
