Herpetologist?

Wade has always said that he wants to be a herpetologist when he grows up. We've never doubted his love for snakes and other reptiles. We currently have a tadpole we are waiting on to metamorphis (not sure it will happen any time soon). We have had several encounters with snakes and he just loves to tell the stories. It's funny because Sunday at lunch we were with some people from church and he was telling his snake stories. Well, the next day some of my mom's friends went to her house to help her clean before the wedding. One of those friends happened to be the lady Wade was telling his stories to. While her friends were cleaning, one of them found a baby snake. Mom of course saved it for Wade to see today and guess what we brought home with us? That's right. Everytime he finds a baby snake at Oma's he brings it home long enough to show his daddy. We plan to release it tonight after David has gotten to see it.

I'm always forgetting to blog about fun things like this and Wade came to me today and said "You should blog about this snake!!" Thanks Wade, for the great idea! This one's name is Romeo.

JB you have me flabbergasted! I am in total shock that you'd allow a snake in your house! I remember what you were like a Sooner about a little bity spider! LOL!!!

I know! At first I was SO against the thing being in the house. Then it started raining HARD! So, I told him he could play with it inside. Guess what! I even hold the things sometimes. He has a true passion, and I want to nurture it as much as I can. Even if it means stepping out of my comfort zone! He loves that we show interest in the things he loves.
