FRED THE FROG

Okay, those of you who guessed frog were right!!! He's pretty cute too. He is a White's Tree frog. I will post some pictures of him and the boys later today. I took him to both of the boys schools yesterday and all of the kids loved it. He eats live crickets! Yea, fun. Staci, can you believe that I allow live crickets in my house too! I've even held the frog a few times. I know I know! It's crazy. He's fun to watch. He has long legs and his feet have little suction cup like things to help him hang on to things. He's definitely a climber. They say that this is a very good pet for little kids who are interested in herpotology. The next step will be a lizard such as an iguana. When Wade gets a little older, if he still has this crazy but fun passion, we will probably have to move to the next level and give in to the lizard idea. It was fun to watch him at school yesterday educating all of his friends on how to care for the frog. He really soaks up all of the information that we read and that he has been told at the pet store. It's truly a passion and I love encouraging him to follow something that he loves this much.
