I have been reading the Yada Yada Prayer Group books by Neta Jackson. I would definitely recommend this series to all women of faith. I have felt so encouraged to work on my prayer life.
Last night I tried praying like the women in these books with a lot of praise to God and a lot of petition. We had to call 911 at about 3:15am to have an ambulance take Wade to the hospital. He was in respiratory distress from the cough and sore throat that he has with the flu. We tried everything we could, and eventually had to hand it over to God and the doctors. David and I struggle with knowing when to take our kids to the doctor or the hospital. We just both know way too much! We finally decided last night that if we were normal people, our child would've already been at the hospital. That's why we ended up calling. Wade is doing better. He is home now. They have started him on steroids and gave him breathing treatments.
I felt such a sense of peace with my prayers last night. I haven't felt that in a long time. It's amazing to me how our prayer life can wane and we don't really realize it. God is so good and it feels incredible to give him praise and glory!!! We covet your prayers as Wade begins to heal.

Wow. That's a rough night! I'm so glad that you're not in it alone! It's so comforting to have God to lean on. We'll be praying for Wade (and ya'll too)!
That is scary - I hope everyone else in your house is able to stay healthy! I know in our house, it hits us like dominos! You are in my prayers - I love you!
I am so glad to hear that Wade is ok. How scary. God is SO good!! And you, you are super women--being a mom, going to school, and working! You are amazing!
I hope everything is still ok with Wade. As always, you all will be in our prayers.... love you!
Wade is feeling better. He will go to school tomorrow. He's still just tired and doesn't understand why he still has to take his medicine!!! That's been a battle. Thank you all for your prayers! We definitely need them right now.

I'm glad you found my blog so I could find yours...and many others! I'm also glad that Wade is doing better. Ben has been having asthma attacks lately (with lots of breathing treatments) and after hearing about Wade, I am scared to have a child! I just hope I know what to do and when to do it.
That's really scary! I'm glad that you guys got Wade to the hospital and that he's doing better now.
