Wade

Wade is now 7 years old! YIKES!!! It is hard to believe that I have a 7 year old that is in 1st grade. I really enjoyed spending my few free moments today praising God for this precious gift He has given me. Even when he is trying my patience and battling with his daddy, I have to remember how wonderful he is. Wade is probably one of the smartest kids I know. He loves to learn. Time is wasted, in his mind, if you are not constantly learning something new. He has made the A Honor Roll all 3 of the six weeks so far. He gets E's in citizenship (that's the best) and his teacher made a comment on his report card this last six weeks that said he was a "thoughtful and considerate child." He is more mature spiritually than what I have seen of most 7 year olds. I believe that he has so much potential and I am so incredibly excited to see everything that he is going to accomplish in his lifetime. I will say that he is definitely a strong-willed child. A lot of the time I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle. I don't know if it was because of his birthday today or if it was the fact that I woke up this morning praising and thanking God for Wade, but he has been so good today. I hope that we all will remember to give credit to God when our children are behaving and doing things that make us proud. We are only able to parent the way we do with His help and guidance. We also need to remember to call on God when we feel discouraged as parents. Please hug your children and always tell them that you love them and are proud of them. Those of us who have children are so incredibly BLESSED!

You might have been right... I only went once to the Parks Mall and it was back in November... does that sound right? David was right, we lived in Atlanta for about 1 1/2 years, but a job transfer brought us back to Dallas in mid-October. We recently closed on a house up in Allen. After living 4+ years out of state it's nice to be back closer to family!!! Still trying to get acclamated to everything here and unpacking some boxes!
